Some Bass Questions

There were 2 questions about John's instruments (and his play).
One: How much is each of his basses? (well, we know they are expensive, but want to know how expensive they are.)
Two: His bass sound has changed through years. So was changing bass (from sunburst to natural or musicman, for example) one of the cause of it?
