Enigma about the guitar on Misfire

From Sebastian;

I've made an interesting discovery, I was trying to figure what guitar had John used for 'Misfire' (I wan't sure if it was a Tele or Strat) and sent it to some experts, who told me that it is too warm to be a Fender.
Now, which guitar can be warmer than a Fender? the Red Special. We know thanks to the credits that John played "almost all guitars", and since there are about 13 electric and just one double tracked acoustic I don't think John just played the 12 string Ovation. So he must have used the Red Special for part of his 7 or 8 electric guitars.
I'm not totally sure, although the last fills are so obviously the RS. There's another possibility: Gibson Les Paul. It's the most similar sound you can get from a commercial guitar, no wonder why Brian had it as back-up.

Would you give him (and me) your helping hand?

Thank you for reading! See you next week!
