Although it's a last week's topic actually, let me quote the following interesting words from Roger (Herald Sun, Saturday, March 29 2003, source: QueenNews on brianmaynews.com):
Q: So Queen is just Brian and Roger?
A(Roger): Yeah, that's it. John has opted out. He doesn't like being around a lot of people.
Q: That's a shame. He was important to the band, wasn't he?
A: Yes, John was always the cool, clear business head, and a lot quieter than the rest of us. He is a man with no ego at all. But then Freddie had enough for all of us.
Q: In a nice way though...
A: Yes, in a very nice way. A lot of what you saw of Freddie was just for show. He had a very quiet side as well.
Some of my guests (including me, I guess) suspect that John DID (DOES?) have ego enough to go on his way, though.
